The Tops in Blue dazzled Tucsonans at the Tucson Convention Center March 20.

The Air Force's premier entertainment showcase is an expeditionary unit that provides entertainment for Air Force families at home and abroad. Their mission is to promote community relations and support recruiting efforts while serving as ambassadors for the United States and the Air Force. The theme of this year's show, "We Believe," is a salute to all of the values that Americans hold true.

The show featured a range of music from classic singers like Stevie Wonder to modern artists such as Lady Gaga.

"My wife and I have been coming to see the Tops in Blue for many years," said Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Julius Parker, a former commander from Ft. Huachuca. "Through the years, my wife and I have been to shows all over the states, in Europe and Japan, and we've enjoyed them every time."

Airmen from D-M lent their services to the show by volunteering to serve as ushers.

"It gives people, military and civilian, a chance to enjoy what the Air Force's talent has to provide," said Senior Airman Christine Bailey, 355th Maintenance Operations Squadron maintenance management analyst, and one of the volunteer ushers.

Some distinguished guests at the night's show were Lt. Gen. Glen Spears, 12th Air Force commander, and Col. Brian Hastings, 355th Fighter Wing vice commander, along with their wives.

After the show, a meet-and-greet was given and all the Tops in Blue performers were coined by General Spears.
