Soaring Heights to host open house at new Welcome Home Center

TUCSON, Ariz. -- Soaring Heights, Actus Lend Lease and Davis-Monthan Air Force Base will celebrate the grand opening of a brand new Welcome Home Center Dec. 16.

From 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Soaring Heights invites residents, families, and all D-M personnel and leadership, to an open house celebrating the grand opening of this new community amenity.

"We aim to provide improved quality of service and customer satisfaction through this new facility," said Jim Switzer, Soaring Heights project director. "We are excited that this Welcome Home Center will provide offices for both Soaring Heights and Air Force housing staff. Through co-locating, the center will offer a "one-stop-shop" to better meet the needs of our residents."

Highlights of the new 4,500 square foot facility include a free internet café, a fully furnished great room complete with HD TV, multi-purpose rooms with audiovisual capabilities, a splash park, sport court, and playground.

"With the close proximity to the holidays, we wanted to make this a festive event," said Jane Bowling, Soaring Heights director of property management. "To bring an added sense of excitement, we are going to hold an „ugliest holiday sweater‟ competition. Those brave enough to wear one will be photographed and all entries judged at the end of the day. The winner will receive a $200 gift card, just in time for the holidays!"

In addition to the holiday sweater contest, Soaring Heights will have an activity corner set up for children and light refreshments served throughout the day.
