Food, fun for Airmen and families at D-M 50 Picnic Saturday

This year's D-M 50 picnic, which has a theme of "Welcome to the Wild, Wild.West" is scheduled for Saturday at Bama Park here between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. The picnic will be providing a variety of entertainment, free food and drinks for Airmen and their families.

El Paso BBQ will provide food for the event in addition to kettle corn, cotton candy and snow cones for party-goers to snack on.

Music, entertainment and dancing festivities include: a country band, line-dancing instruction, a Disc Jockey and Karaoke, mechanical bull rides, Can-Can dancers, Western Gun Fight shows and rope tricks, as well as, jumping castles, Laser Tag, Giant Slide, the Rock Wall, face painters, pony rides and a kids train.

Parking locations for picnic-goers will be at Heritage Park and Borman and Smith Elementary Schools.

Shuttle service is provided and will pick-up attendees at parking locations and transport picnic-goers to Bama Park beginning at 11 a.m. Shuttles are scheduled to run every half hour with the last shuttle scheduled to run at 4:30 p.m.
