D-M Airmen march in Tucson Veterans Day Parade

TUCSON, Ariz. -- Airmen from Davis-Monthan Air Force Base participated in the Tucson Veterans Day Parade Nov. 11.

A formation of more than 100 Airmen, consisting of D-M Honor Guardsmen, 355th Civil Engineer Squadron explosive ordnance disposal technicians in full gear and Airmen from various units, marched in the streets of downtown Tucson.

"I was able to stand and represent those that have served before me," said Senior Airman Michael Coppock, 355th Force Support Squadron base honor guardsmen. "It was a privilege to march in the parade, to show my appreciation and allowing me to carry on what those before me have represented and fought for."

D-M Airmen marched for approximately one hour covering about two miles during the parade to remember veterans, past and present.

"To see the people on the street cheering for the veterans made me proud to march, showing the community that we are there to serve, protect and remember those that gave their time and lives for us," Coppock said.
