A suspicious vehicle was identified near the intersection of Kachina St. and 5th St. here at approximately 4 p.m. Explosive Ordnance Disposal Airmen confirmed there was no evidence of explosives in the vehicle at approximately 5:30 p.m.

At no time was the installation under lockdown. Out of an abundance of caution, personnel working in buildings in the immediate vicinity were evacuated and road traffic was temporarily rerouted away from the area.

All base facilities and roadways have resumed normal operations.

The cautionary actions were taken after a military working dog alerted to the vehicle during a routine security sweep of the area.
