The Heritage Flight Training Course will take place at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base the first week of March with aircraft and personnel scheduled to arrive March 1 and flying operations scheduled between March 3 to March 6.

Air Force demonstration pilots will train with civilian Air Force Heritage Flight Foundation pilots to become certified to perform in the 2022 air show season. Heritage flights raise awareness of the Air Force mission and commemorate its history.

The HFTC is not an air show and is not open to the public. However, tune into Davis-Monthan’s social media platforms, website and https://www.dvidshub.net/ for photos and video of the event.

During the event, members of the public can expect to see and hear a greater variety of aircraft flying from Davis-Monthan than usual. This year’s training will include the F-35 Lightning II, F-22 Raptor, F-16 Viper and A-10 Thunderbolt II demonstration teams.

Participating heritage aircraft include the P-51 Mustang and F-86 Sabre.

More information about the Air Force Heritage Flight Foundation is available here: https://www.airforceheritageflight.org/.
