Davis-Monthan to host Fourth of July Celebration

DAVIS-MONTHAN AIR FORCE BASE, Ariz. --  An Independence Day Celebration is scheduled to begin here at 6 p.m. July 4.

The event will include private organization booths, games for families and a performance by the Desert Cadillac Band. A 25-minute fireworks show is slated to begin at 9 p.m.

Although the celebration is only open to patrons with access to the base, the display will be visible to those immediately surrounding D-M.

The celebration was funded through various efforts to include proceeds from the Desert Boneyard 5K run/walk and sponsorship from USAA.
