For inquiring citizens: Air show to bring modified flying ops over Tucson Published March 17, 2010 By 090310 DAVIS-MONTHAN AIR FORCE BASE, Ariz. -- During this weekend's Aerospace & Arizona Days air show, local citizens may inquire about aircraft that are flying noticeably lower, faster, louder or in close proximity over Tucson. Base officials emphasize that modified flying conditions are temporary and standard for an air show. Also, all flights have been thoroughly deconflicted with other area flights, in coordination with the Tucson Airport Authority and the Federal Aviation Administration. Citizens can also be referred to D-M's flight operations hotline at 228-5091. The free, open-to-the-public A&A Days air show is conducted every two years to showcase military air power and express appreciation for the local community's continuous support for D-M's missions.
