355th Reunion brings generations of air warriors to D-M Published July 29, 2008 By 010708 DAVIS-MONTHAN AIR FORCE BASE, Ariz. -- Air warriors spanning multiple generations and conflicts will converge on Davis-Monthan Thursday through April 28 as the 355th Fighter Association holds a reunion at the base. Airmen who share the 355th lineage, including members of Davis-Monthan's active 355th Fighter Wing, will join veterans of conflicts ranging from World War II and Vietnam to the current Global War on Terror. Participants will share perspectives on the evolution of air combat and celebrate the history and heritage of the 355th. An extensive itinerary has been slated for the reunion. Among the events planned on D-M are A-10 flying demos and orientations in the aircraft's flight simulators. There will also be WWII and Vietnam Flight Briefs and a POW presentation with Retired Col. Elmo Baker. Baker was shot down over North Vietnam and imprisoned at the infamous Hanoi Hilton.
