Hero Hahn to receive posthumous Airman's Medal

Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz. --  Staff Sgt Timothy Hahn, who died trying to rescue another drowning hiker in August near Sabino Canyon, has been posthumously awarded the Airman's Medal.

The medal, to be presented in a ceremony Jan. 16 at 3:30 p.m. at D-M, is given for heroism above and beyond the call of duty at the risk of one's own life outside of combat operations. Members of Sergeant Hahn's unit, along with friends and family, will be on hand to honor him.
