The Davis-Monthan Professional Development Center officially opens its doors to students and servicemembers for the grand opening ceremony Friday at 10 a.m. at Building 2441, located adjacent to the Base Exchange.

The PDC is the new home to the Airman and Family Readiness Center, base training and education services office, first-term Airmen's center, the career assistance advisor and Airman's attic. Additionally, the building is the site for Pima Community College, Park University, Troy State University and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University classes, which are open to the local community.

The ribbon cutting will honor Chief Master Sgt. Wanda L. Kennedy, a former active-duty chief from the D-M community. The guest speaker will be Col. Timothy Byers, Air Combat Command Director of Installations Mission Support.
