Davis-Monthan Airman killed in motorcycle accident

DAVIS-MONTHAN AIR FORCE BASE, Ariz. — A 26-year-old Airman assigned to the 355th Wing died April 20, 2026, following a motorcycle accident in Tucson, Arizona.

The Airman, a staff sergeant assigned to the 355th Civil Engineering Squadron, was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

“We are heartbroken by the loss of one of our Airmen,” said Col. Joseph Cabrera, 355th Wing commander. “He was a valued member of our team and will be deeply missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and teammates as they navigate this profound loss. We are committed to taking care of our Airmen and supporting all those impacted during this incredibly difficult time.”

The cause of the accident remains under investigation by local authorities.
