B-52 takes flight after regeneration in the Boneyard Published Feb. 17, 2015 By 050215 DAVIS-MONTHAN AIR FORCE BASE, Ariz. -- A B-52H 'Stratofortress' left the Boneyard today after regeneration maintenance and flew to Barksdale AFB. This is the first time a B-52 has been regenerated and flown from the Boneyard. The B-52H, Serial No. 61-0007, took off from D-M around 10:15 a.m. and landed at Barksdale AFB around 4 p.m. in perfect condition. At Barksdale AFB, maintenance crews will continue working on the B-52 and install upgrade modifications to ensure configuration with the rest of the fleet.
