Arizona Cardinals Defensive Back selected to fly with the Thunderbirds Published April 9, 2014 By 100414 DAVIS-MONTHAN AIR FORCE BASE, Ariz. -- Patrick Peterson, defensive back for the Arizona Cardinals, has been selected for an orientation flight with the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds. The orientation flight will occur April 10 as part of pre-Open House activities at the base. Davis-Monthan Air Force Base is hosting its 'Thunder and Lightning over Arizona' Open House April 12-13. Peterson will receive the unique experience of flying in the back seat of a Thunderbirds F-16 Fighting Falcon jet while the pilot demonstrates the handling and speed of the aircraft. Opportunities for b-roll, to include flight equipment testing and Peterson's meet-and-greet with his pilot, will be available throughout the flight orientation process. Interviews with Peterson will be available immediately following his flight.
