US Army helicopters from Texas at D-M, 5-7 Feb.

Davis-Monthan Air Force Base will host 26 helicopters and nearly 100 Army personnel from the 3-227th Assault Helicopter Battalion, 1st Air Calvary Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division out of Fort Hood, Texas, Feb. 5-7. D-M is supporting the unit with refueling and overnight parking for their aircraft allowing for required crew rest.

Seventeen U.S. Army UH-60 Black Hawks and their personnel are scheduled to arrive at D-M the afternoon of Feb. 5, departing early the next morning. The UH-60 airframe is similar to the HH-60 Pave Hawk, which operates out of Davis-Monthan.

Seven U.S. Army AH-64D Apaches and two CH-47 Chinooks are scheduled to arrive at D-M the afternoon of Feb. 6, departing early the next morning.

The personnel are traveling to California for a month-long training exercise. The unit will transit back through Davis-Monthan in early March.
